What a place! We loved the resort : the island, the plants/trees, the design, the structure itself, the room with this amazing view over Nam Ngum. We loved the restaurant and its staff that was always very nice, smiling and efficient. We were very well welcomed by the new manager Danielo and assistant manager Bun (we wish you both all the best) and all of the staff of the resort. We loved the activities the resort offered : the walking tour of the fishermen village with a tasting of local recipes and the canoe tour. We can thank you all enough for the memorable experience we had at the resort.

The resort is about 45 mins drive from the train station in Vang Vieng. Ensure you arrange pick up with the hotel van as the roads in this part of Laos are rough! We had a lovely spacious villa with a large deck and sun loungers. It was on the side of a manmade lake. It's very scenic and pretty. Village fishing boats do put around all day, but that's part of the charm. The staff were super attentive and helpful. 3 of us picked up a bug and were very sick for a number of days. Extra linen was provided, special food and tea, and one of us was taken at night to the local doctor. The GM was a handsome young guy from Madagascar, and despite his youth, he handled our situation like a seasoned professional. He also ensured he spent time conversing with each guest group at each meal, checking on their stay, their health, and helping arrange anything they wished to do. I have more than 30 years of tourism experience, and I seldom experience this level of service in a mid-range hotel. He will go far! I would recommend this hotel, especially for families and those wanting to relax and play at the resort, rather than charging around town.

This was a hidden paradise at the end of a dusty bumpy road. Comfortable and private bungalow with sun deck overlooking the reservoir. Views are breathtaking and it's quiet and chilled. Swimming pool was virtually empty during our visit and the sunset boat tour was great, passing fishermen tending their nets and water buffaloes on one of the islands. Would highly recommend.

We just spent one night, but it was a good one. The room was very beautiful with a nice view on the lake and even though there was a big group celebrating more or less in front of our room, there was no noice during the night and we slept very good. The staff was very friendly, it was just sometimes a bit hard to place an order, because most of the staff speaks no English at all.

We loved it here, so much that we extended our stay. The whole team are outstanding. The facilities are great and the rooms spacious with your own deck to sunbath in. The food is excellent and the menu varied. We also took a half day boat tour, including lunch with Mina (host), Khamta (captain) and Lin (chef), which was blissful and we felt like it was just the 5 of us on the Reservoir.

Lovely people, spacious clean room, nice pool, good range of Lao and Western food (best homemade ice cream ever!), stunning views over the lake (especially around sunset), the kayaks for rent, the guided walk around the village with Boun who spoke v good English but had great insight into local culture…

Beautiful and peaceful location. A bit further away from Viet Vang but absolutely stunning. We were really pleased to stay here. We organized tours from the hotel. If you are looking for action and lots of restaurants then this place is not for you. If you want to charge your batteries and enjoy a beautiful location then it is.

The location is so beautiful. The GM was brilliant. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We went jetskiing up and down the lake. It was an incredible experience. Check in was so fast and easy going.
